WNCCHS has been selected as one of only 14 nonprofit organizations nationwide to host a 2026 ACLS Leading Edge Fellow, a prestigious, Mellon Foundation–funded opportunity. Yes, team members have the opportunity to apply for a new position for which they meet the qualifications after six months of employment with the organization. For some positions, we have career levels. To advance to another career level, team members must also meet the six-month employment requirement.

Full-time team members qualify for benefits 31 days after hire.

Yes, team members accrue paid time off (PTO), which may be used at employees discretion for illness, vacation, etc. The paid time off benefit is effective after 90 days of employment with WNCCHS.

All clinical staff must have required credentials fully completed before their first day of work at WNCCHS. This includes:
Active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
Up-to-date immunizations, based on role requirements
Having these credentials in hand at the time of hire helps speed up onboarding.
